2023 Literacy Empowerment Campaign
2023 Literacy Empowerment Campaign Honorary Chair
We are pleased that Former PeoplesBank President and CEO, Larry Miller, has accepted our nomination to be the Honorary Chair of the 16th Annual Literacy Empowerment Campaign!
The Literacy Empowerment Campaign has raised close to $900,000 since its first year in 2008. These are vital funds that help The York County Literacy Council equip adult students with the training and tools they need. Through this support, they will be able to get their High School Equivalency Diploma, increase their English language skills, obtain a Driver’s License, improve employment skills, and gain Citizenship. These accomplishments bridge the gap to a stronger workforce and enrich our community!
The Literacy Empowerment Campaign is an annual fundraiser. Funds raised support YCLC’s adult learners with the training and tools they need to earn a high school equivalency diploma, enhance English language skills, enter career-training programs, improve employment skills, gain citizenship and so much more. These accomplishments enrich our students lives and build a stronger foundation for our community.
